2009 Far Niente Chardonnay
Napa Valley
Far Niente Wines

Winemaker’s Notes

The 2009 Far Niente Chardonnay offers aromas of Meyer lemon, honeysuckle and melon layered with toasted hazelnut and nutmeg. The entry is oily, long and silky with clean, bright acidity and fresh, tropical fruit flavors supported by sweet toasted oak.

2007 Far Niente Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
Oakville, Napa Valley

Winemaker’s Notes

This wine offers intense aromas of blackberry and boysenberry along with licorice and perfume. A juicy and silky entry is followed by a velvety midpalate, rich with layers of ripe purple fruit and cassis. Well-integrated and melting tannins lead to a long and juicy finish.

2007 Nickel & Nickel Cabernet Sauvignon John C. Sullenger Vineyard
Oakville, Napa Valley

Nickel & Nickel WinesWinemaker’s Notes

The 2007 Sullenger has the blackberry and black cherry flavors that seem to express themselves so often in Oakville, but it is the velvety texture and chewiness of this wine on the palate that emphasizes its alluring qualities. The consistency of the flavors, as promised by the aromas, carries through to a finish that is in fact, mouth watering.

2007 Nickel & Nickel Cabernet Sauvignon Vogt Vineyard
Howell Mountain, Napa Valley

Winemaker’s Notes

The 2007 Vogt Cabernet Sauvignon has its typical and distinctive dark fruit aromas complemented with notes of black tea and hints of toasty French oak. The vintage produced moderate tannins across the palate providing a graceful backdrop to the hillside fruit.

2007 Nickel & Nickel Cabernet Sauvignon C.C. Ranch
Rutherford, Napa Valley

Winemaker’s Notes

The 2007 C.C. Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon offers dark cherry fruit flavors that are bright and ripe at the same time. There are hints of “Rutherford Dust” and even a touch of black tea that complement the floral notes of the fruit. The wine is silky at entry and then seems to get fleshier and bigger as it expands on the middle palate before melting into a long finish.

2007 Nickel & Nickel Cabernet Sauvignon State Ranch
Yountville, Napa Valley

Winemaker’s Notes

The 2007 State Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of black cherry and loganberry that are enticing, but it is the velvety palate and the juiciness of this wine that seems to define the vineyard. There is softness and a thickness to the texture that is pure enjoyment that carries through to an extremely long finish.
